Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what Nickname Generator (nicknames.nikhilka.com, the "Service") collects and why. We deliberately collect as little as possible — there is no account system, and nicknames you generate are never sent to or stored on our servers.
1. What we collect
-
An anonymous device identifier. On your first
visit, the Service sets a random ID in a cookie named
nx_device(kept for up to 1 year) so it can recognize your browser on return visits. It contains no personal information — just a random value. - PRO status. If you purchase the PRO unlock, we store a record linking your device identifier to "PRO: yes" in Cloudflare Workers KV (a key–value store), so the Service knows to unlock the Gamer style and Invisible Nickname mode on return visits.
That's the entire list. We do not collect your name, email, location, or IP address for our own purposes, and we do not run any third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the Service.
2. Payment data
If you purchase PRO, your payment (card details, billing address, email for the receipt) is collected and processed entirely by our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy), acting as merchant of record — we never receive or store it. The only thing that comes back to us is a webhook notification confirming the purchase, tied to your anonymous device identifier so we can flip your PRO status.
3. Cookies
The only cookie the Service sets is nx_device,
described above — it's essential to the PRO-unlock feature and is
not a marketing or tracking cookie. The Service also uses your
browser's localStorage to remember your chosen
interface language (English/Russian); this stays on your device
and is never sent to us.
4. Data retention & deletion
We keep the device-identifier → PRO-status record for as long as the Service operates, so you don't lose PRO access. If you'd like us to delete your record (for example, before switching devices), email us at nikolaygilka@gmail.com — note that deleting it will also remove your PRO unlock from that record, since it's the only thing that record is used for.
5. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them (we collect essentially none from anyone, per §1).
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
